The Saint Vincent de Paul society (SVP) is open to anyone over 18.
Our motto: TURNING CONCERN INTO ACTION guides our work. We visit and befriend people, young and old in their own homes, in hospital or in nursing and residential homes and assist anyone with transport.
We coordinate the Food Bank, Tuesday Lunch Club and Healing Services, organise the annual Parish trip to Whitby, Pie and Pea Quiz nights, and respond to any other requests for practical help. We also have a twinned SVP group in Kerala, India that we support with regular donations.
We meet fortnightly on Thursdays 7.30 – 8.30pm in the Parish Centre. For more details see the SVP notice board at the back of church.
If you know anyone who would benefit from our help or you would like to join us you can contact us on the SVP mobile phone: 07340011619 or send an email to the St Aelred’s SVP President, Patricia Nobbs, firstname.lastname@example.org
